This policy explains what personal data Hidden Matriarch collects, why, and what rights you have over it. We keep it plain and honest.

1. Who we are

Hidden Matriarch (hiddenmatriarch.com) is a global goddess education and sacred travel platform. For the purposes of data protection law, Hidden Matriarch is the data controller — the entity responsible for deciding how and why your personal data is used.

You can contact us at any time regarding your data: admin@hiddenmatriarch.com

2. What data we collect

At this stage — our pre-launch period — we collect only one type of personal data:

  • Email address — submitted voluntarily via the sign-up form on our coming soon page

We do not collect names, payment details, location data, or any other personal information at this time. We do not use cookies or analytics on this page.

This policy will be updated when the full platform launches and additional data types or cookies are introduced.

3. Why we collect it and our legal basis

We collect your email address for the following purposes:

  • To notify you when Hidden Matriarch launches
  • To send occasional updates about the platform, its content, and its offerings

Our legal basis for processing is consent — specifically the consent you gave by ticking the checkbox on our sign-up form. This meets the requirements of:

  • Article 6(1)(a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • UK GDPR
  • Mexico's Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP), Articles 8 and 9
  • Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD), Article 7(I)

We will never use your email address for any purpose other than those stated above without obtaining fresh consent from you first.

4. How long we keep your data

We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed, or for a maximum of 24 months from the date you signed up — whichever comes first.

You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing admin@hiddenmatriarch.com. We will action your request within 30 days.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share it only with the following data processor, which acts on our instruction:

  • Netlify, Inc. — our website host, which stores form submissions on our behalf. Netlify is based in the United States. See section 6 for how this international transfer is handled.

When the full platform launches, this list may expand to include an email service provider (such as Mailchimp or EmailOctopus). This policy will be updated at that point and you will be informed.

6. International data transfers

Hidden Matriarch is based in Mexico. Our hosting provider Netlify stores data on servers in the United States. Transferring personal data outside the EU/EEA requires appropriate safeguards under GDPR.

Netlify maintains Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) — the mechanism approved by the European Commission for lawful international transfers — and offers a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) to its customers. We have signed this DPA with Netlify.

For visitors from Mexico, transfers abroad are governed by Article 36 of the LFPDPPP. We ensure that any recipient of your data provides a comparable level of protection.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you have some or all of the following rights over your personal data. We honour all of them regardless of your location.

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data entirely
  • Restriction — ask us to pause processing while a dispute is resolved
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Object — object to processing based on our legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal

The simplest way to exercise any of these rights is to email admin@hiddenmatriarch.com. We will respond within 30 days.

For visitors from Mexico, these rights align with your ARCO rights under the LFPDPPP: Acceso, Rectificación, Cancelación, and Oposición. The same email address applies.

For visitors from California (USA), the CCPA grants you the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal data.

8. Supervisory authorities

If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority in your country. Key authorities include:

Mexico INAI — Instituto Nacional de Transparencia, Acceso a la Información y Protección de Datos Personales (inai.org.mx)
European Union The supervisory authority in your EU country of residence. A full list is available at edpb.europa.eu
United Kingdom ICO — Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk)
Brazil ANPD — Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados (gov.br/anpd)
Argentina AAIP — Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (argentina.gob.ar/aaip)

We would always prefer the opportunity to address your concern directly first — please contact us at admin@hiddenmatriarch.com before filing a formal complaint.

9. Cookies and tracking

Our coming soon page does not use cookies, analytics, or any third-party tracking scripts. No data is collected beyond what you voluntarily submit via the sign-up form.

This will change when the full platform launches. We will update this policy and implement a cookie consent mechanism before any tracking is introduced.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as Hidden Matriarch grows — when new data types are collected, new processors are engaged, or applicable law changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.

If we make a material change that affects how we use your data, we will notify you by email before the change takes effect.
